Dr. Hager was born in Minot, ND, and raised in the small town of Pembina, ND. He graduated high school in 2015 as a salutatorian. He then attended North Dakota State University and graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science. Dr. Hager graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry with honors. He trained with optometrists and ophthalmologists in Oklahoma, Colorado, and Oregon. During his time in Oklahoma, he was certified in surgical procedures and laser therapy for the anterior segment of the eye.

He then moved on to Bend, OR to work at the Veterans Affairs, managing a variety of ocular diseases. In Colorado, he worked with world-renowned ophthalmologists, managing cataract surgeries, LASIK, PRK, and ICL vision-correcting surgeries. He completed his training at a private practice in Milton-Freewater, OR. Dr. Hager has a strong passion for ocular disease, dry eye disease, and getting to know his patients. When he isn’t in clinic, you can find him on a mountain snowboarding, backpacking, or at a brewery trying out different craft beers.
